Accessibility Statement

This website should work for every Isulanen — including residents who rely on screen readers, keyboards, or reduced motion.

Our commitment

The Municipality of Isulan is committed to making this website accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, consistent with the accessibility requirements for Philippine government websites under DICT Memorandum Circular No. 004, s. 2017.

What we have built in

  • Semantic HTML landmarks and a skip-to-content link on every page.
  • Full keyboard navigation with clearly visible focus indicators.
  • Text and interface colors that meet AA contrast ratios, checked against the design system.
  • Responsive layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling, and text that can be resized up to 200 percent.
  • Reduced-motion support: all animations are disabled when your device requests reduced motion.
  • Tap-to-call emergency hotlines with touch targets sized for mobile use.
  • Plain-language content in English and Filipino, with local terms where they serve residents best.

Known limitations

We are still working on the following. Each item is on our roadmap:

  • Placeholder imagery. Several pages currently use decorative color placeholders while official photographs are being gathered. When real photos are published, each will carry descriptive alternative text.
  • Map of the Municipal Hall. The map on the contact page is a placeholder; the final embedded map will be accompanied by a text description of the location and directions.
  • Downloadable documents. Some PDF documents in the transparency section are produced by other offices and may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers. We are coordinating with the source offices and can provide the information in an alternative format on request.
  • Site search. The search page requires JavaScript. All content remains reachable through regular navigation links without JavaScript.

Feedback and assistance

If any part of this website is difficult to use, does not work with your assistive technology, or if you need information in an alternative format, please tell us through the contact page. Accessibility reports are routed with priority, and we respond within 3 working days.

You can also call the Municipal Hall trunkline at (064) 201-3424 during office hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
